Re-appointment Under Burnham

MP David Burton-Sampson is to remain working within the Department of Health and Social Care, now that Andy Burnham is Prime Minister.
The MP for Southend West and Leigh was reappointed following the reshuffle and says he is delighted to be working with the new Health Secretary, Yvette Cooper.
He said: “We need to drive forward much needed changes and reforms.
“For too long, patients were promised change in the NHS but saw little of it. This Labour government has started to turn that around, with record investment, cutting waste, improving services and making our NHS more efficient.
“We have made a lot of progress since we came to power but there is a lot more to do. I am proud to be part of the team dedicated to improving our health service and I will strive to deliver better health outcomes for people, including here in Southend.”
