Two Burglary Charges

A MAN has been charged with two counts of burglary following an investigation by detectives.
Denver Clift, 40, of King Georges Close, Rayleigh, faced charges of burglary dwelling and theft when he appeared at Southend Magistrates Court on Tuesday 16 June.
It follows reports of a burglary in Westcliff on 29 April and a second one in Canvey Island on 3 June.
Clift was remanded into custody and will appear at Basildon Crown Court on 14 July.
Detective Inspector Nick Brunton said: “We take burglary extremely seriously.
“We know it’s not just a crime against property – it’s an invasion of someone’s home and their sense of safety. For victims, the impact can be long-lasting and deeply personal.
“That’s why our officers respond robustly, work relentlessly to identify offenders, and support those affected every step of the way.
“Our message is clear: burglary will not be tolerated in Essex.”
