‘One Love’ Show Opens

A GROUP of Leigh artists have launched an exhibition in support of the Southend One Love Project.
The show, which features work by local creatives, opened on January 10th.
One Love Project is a local independent charity providing trauma-informed support for people facing homelessness, housing insecurity, hardship, mental health, addiction and isolation in Southend.
Speaking of their vital role in the community, a One Love spokesperson explained: “We operate an open-access, non-referral model, meaning anyone can walk through our doors and receive immediate support without appointments, conditions, or barriers.
“Alongside food, we offer access to showers, clean clothing, toiletries, and a safe space to rest and reconnect. We also deliver weekly Wellbeing Wednesday sessions, using creative activities such as arts and crafts to build confidence, connection, and self-worth.”
A spokesperson for the Two Tree Gallery said: “Two Tree Gallery in Leigh is once again delighted to be supporting The One Love Project in Southend for the fourth year in a row with a pop-up exhibition of small artworks from local artists and creatives.
“The artists have kindly offered to donate 20% of sales to the charity. The Gallery will also collect cash donations for the charity for the duration of the exhibition.”
The Gallery, at 3 Rectory Road, is open every Saturday from 10am till 5pm and by appointment.
The exhibition continues until 7th February.
