Artist Applications

LEIGH Town Council are now accepting applications for the position of Artist in Residence at Leigh Community Centre.
Successful applicants will receive a studio space within the centre, an exhibition space, and the chance to collaborate with the Town Council on bringing art to the Leigh community for a whole year.
Any type of artist will be considered, whether you work with textiles, glass, photography, ceramics or paint.
The council also welcome joint applications and applications from groups.
The deadline to apply is Friday 27th March 2026, with interviews taking place in April
2026 with the successful applicant taking up residency from May 2026 for a full municipal year (May to April).
Previous artists to take up the position include Susan Allen Kerry Doyland, and Mary Lister.
