Café’s Opening Day

THERE were no kitchen nightmares on the opening day of the new cafe at Mill Arts & Events Centre (The Mill), which included a special guest from the one and only Gordon Ramsey or rather, the premiere impressionist himself!
‘Gordon’, joined the Leader of Rochford District Council Coun Danielle Belton, Chairman Coun Jo McPherson and Chair of the Economic Development, Regeneration and Tourism Committee Coun Daniel Efde, to officially open the refreshed café and meet the Eternity Events team behind the relaunch.
The space has been given a new look, with updated décor and furnishings that create a relaxed, inviting place for visitors to enjoy. Eternity Events Essex – already familiar to many for running the bar at The Mill – is now operating the café on a temporary basis, bringing a friendly team and a refreshed offer to the venue.
Visitors can look forward to paninis, hearty soups, jacket potatoes, toasted teacakes and a tempting range of sweet treats. It’s an ideal spot for a quick bite, a chat with friends or simply taking a quiet moment with a warm drink.
Counc Daniel Efde, Chair of the Economic Development, Regeneration and Tourism Committee at Rochford District Council, said: “The café reopening is great news for The Mill and for Rayleigh.
“It adds something special to the experience of visiting the centre. I’d encourage residents to come along, enjoy the new space and take a look at the fantastic range of events and activities happening throughout the year.”
Tony Robertson, Owner of Eternity Events Essex, said: “We’ve really focused on creating a café that feels warm and welcoming from the moment you step inside.
“It’s a place to enjoy something tasty, take a breather or catch up with someone over a coffee. Whether you’re here for an event or just passing through, we’d love you to pop in and make yourself comfortable.”
The Mill continues to host a wide variety of events – from community groups and fitness classes to performances, concerts and private functions. With the café now open, it’s the perfect time to explore what’s happening and make the most of everything the venue offers.
