A SOUTH Essex MP demonstrated his support for the battle against Sepsis, at a recent event at Westminster.
Rayleigh & Wickford MP, Mark Francois, who is an old friend of the “bionic peer,” Lord Mackinlay (who lost both hands and feet to a near-fatal Sepsis infection) attended the reception and briefing, to hear the latest developments in the fight against the disease.
Speaking about the event, which was organised by the UK Sepsis Trust, Mr Francois said: “Craig Mackinlay is one of my oldest friends in Parliament. Given what happened to him, I have taken an increasing interest in this subject, which, sadly, has also affected a number of my constituents in Rayleigh & Wickford.
“The NHS is now improving both research and treatment of this disease and I wish them all the best with this important process.”
