Rotarian’s YMCA Donation

A LEIGH Rotary group has backed a youth charity with a significant donation.
Members of Leigh Rotary visited Southend YMCA to learn about the services it offers young people.
Rotarians Mel Skingley, Liz Meddle, Paula Buck, Clare Eng and Janice Walker together with President Phil Stepney enjoyed a tour around the YMCA’s music room with Lisa Walton, the charity’s Senior Fundraising Lead.
During the tour she explained many of the initiatives that are now being undertaken by the YMCA.
At the end of the visited, the Rotary Group presented Lisa with a cheque for £3500 to contrite to their work, offering supported housing for homeless people aged 18 to 25.
