Resident’s Election Hustings

A COMMUNITY group in Chalkwell held an election hustings event last month.
The Chalkwell Ward Residents Asocaition (CWRA) held the event at Westcliff Baptist Church, welcoming six candidates for Chalkwell Ward, in the lead up to Southend’s Local Council elections.
During the hustings, the candidates answered questions and presented themselves and their aims to a well-attended hall.
The candidates present were: Ali Taha-Brown (Reform), Kay Mitchell (Green Party candidate), David Scott (Labour Party), Julie Cushion (Conservative Party) and Chris Hind (Liberal Democrats).
