£16k Charity Abseil

THE patron of a music charity abseiled off Southend Hospital Tower Block to raise money for their special Broadway debut.
Anna Firth took part in the height-defying challenge alongside the Music Man Project’s founder David Stanley, in memory of Sir David Amess MP.
Ms Firth said “Thank you so much to the amazing David Stanley for joining me this morning at Southend Hospital to #TackletheTower to raise essential funds get the amazing The Music Man Project UK to Broadway this October for a special concert to celebrate the life of Sir David Amess on the 5th anniversary of his brutal murder.
“Thank you also so much to Team Lewis and all the wonderful Music Man Global Ambassadors for supporting us and their parents and carers.
“Your inspiring courage has already generated over £16,200 for the Broadway appeal.”
The Music Man Project is an award-winning, world record breaking service for people with learning disabilities, providing music tuition leading to performance.
Run by volunteers, the charity gives grants for accessible education, promotes equal access, carries out research and raises awareness.
A spokesman for the Music Man Project said: “Huge congratulations to David Stanley and our fantastic patron Anna Firth for bravely abseiling down Southend Hospital today to boost our Broadway appeal – brilliantly supported by The Music Man Project Global Ambassadors.
“Their courage and commitment have already generated over £16,000 for our charity.”
