THE National Police Life Saving Championships were held at Garons Leisure Centre Swimming pool and Hadleigh Country Park Lake during June 13 and 14th.
Essex Police teams were triumphant at this years Championships hosted in Southend City for the very first time.
Next year’s National Police Life Saving Championships will be held at Stanborough Park in Hertfordshire.
This event was supported by the President Bryan Finlay and top executives from of the Royal Life Saving Society in advance of Drowning Prevention Week, as well as members of local Crowstone Canoe & Life Saving Club who volunteered to be casualties on Saturday at Garons Leisure Centre and volunteered to carry out the safety cover for the event on Sunday at Hadleigh Country Park lake, Hadleigh Plungers swimming group volunteered to be casualties in the lake on Sunday.
