Simulated Emergency Evacuation

A CARE home in Leigh has staged a large-scale evacuation exercise to strengthen emergency preparedness and reassure residents.
Staff and residents at Beauleigh Court worked alongside Essex County Fire and Rescue Service to carry out a simulated evacuation.
The planned fire evacuation simulation featured a smoke machine and pre planned 999 call to provide a realistic fire and rescue response time.
A spokesperson for Beauleigh Court said: “The simulation was followed by practical learning on the use of fire extinguishers and a chance to get to know the fire fighters better while we all enjoyed our first BBQ of the year!
“Thank you to our maintenance man Jon, the Fire and Rescue service and our wonderful kitchen team!”
