Sports Awards Nominations

NOMINATIONS are now open for the 2026 Brentwood and Rochford Sports Awards, sponsored by Everyone Active. Residents, sports clubs and community organisations are invited to nominate the athletes, coaches, volunteers, clubs and teams who have gone above and beyond over the past year.
Organised jointly by Brentwood Borough Council and Rochford District Council, with the support of Everyone Active, the awards recognise the people whose dedication, passion and commitment help sport and physical activity thrive across both district and borough. Whether it’s a talented young athlete, an inspiring coach, a volunteer who keeps a club running or a team enjoying a successful season, this is your chance to help give them the recognition they deserve.
Coun Jo McPherson, Chairman of the Community & Housing Committee at Rochford District Council, said: “These awards are a fantastic opportunity to recognise the people who make such a positive difference through sport in our communities.
“From volunteers and coaches to rising stars and local clubs, there are so many inspiring stories out there. I would encourage everyone to take a few minutes to nominate someone – it’s a great way to say thank you and celebrate their hard work and dedication.”

Award categories include: Changing Lives through Sport/Physical Activity – Community Club of the Year – Coach of the Year – Inclusive Communities – Unsung Hero – Young Volunteer – Young Sports Personality of the Year – Sports Personality of the Year.
The prestigious awards evening for shortlisted nominees will take place on Tuesday 3 November at The Mill Arts and Events Centre in Rayleigh.
