Leigh On Sea News: Care Home Performance – A Semi-finalist from the hit TV show Britian’s Got Talent has given a performance at Westcliff’s Cedars Care Home.
Teen musician Immi Davis performed a vintage singing set at Cedars Care Home, Westcliff, on Saturday 20 June for residents, their families and staff.
Immi, 13 from Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire reached the 2022 semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent and discovered her passion for singing 10 years ago. Since starting to stream practices live on Facebook during 2020’s coronavirus lockdowns, Immi’s follower count now approaches 305,000.
“I love the residents here, they all enjoy my music and give me such positive feedback”, Immi said. Immi spent time learning bar chords on guitar after wanting to play ‘Daddy Cop’, a song from TV series The Rookie. Explaining what prompted the recent interest in teaching herself piano and guitar, She said: “It’s because I wanted to”.
Immi’s fifth original song ‘Believe’ releases later this summer. Christine McGlone wrote the lyrics and melody, whilst Kiel Bishoprick led production. Mrs McGlone is authoring an interactive children’s book series ‘Ella Land’. Songs Immi recorded are included in Ella Land’s soundtrack.
Cedars, in Sweyne Avenue, caters for up to 48 residents with varying care needs. They’ve been awarded good ratings from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) ever since opening in 2012.
