Boardgame Library Launched

A NEW board game library has launched in Hockley to bring people together through play.
East Essex Hackspace introduced the free scheme thanks to a £1,250 grant from Legacy Strategies.
The fund hac created a growing collection of modern games, including Ticket to Ride, Dixit, Splendour and Camel Up.
Residents can visit on Tuesday evenings form 7.30 pm to borrow games to take home and return the following week at no cost.
The initiative aims to encourage social connections through shared interests and creativity.
Regular planned games nights are also planned.
A spokesperson for East Essex Hackspace said: “Thanks to a generous £1,250 grant from Legacy Strategies, a local Recruitment & HR consultancy, we’ve launched an extensive board game library for the community.
“It’s all about bringing people together and helping reduce social isolation through play.”
East Essex Hackspace is a community-run workshop that provides tools and space for various projects, including electronics and woodworking.
