COMMUNITY-focused volunteers collected 20 sacks worth of rubbish during their latest litter pick.
The Rochford District Litter Pickers cleared roads and verges around Rochford and Stambridge.
A spokesperson described some of the unusual items found discarded: “BBQ tools, knives, comb, trolley, gas canisters, vapes, Venetian blind, and spectacles.”
They added: “If we had a £1 for every vape box and bottle that we found, we would be well off!”
“Well done troops, things were so messy that we could have done two hours easily.”
All are welcome to join the group on their regular sessions.
