Rotary presidents joined walkers, alongside honorary Leigh member Anna Firth.

A Leigh Rotarian explained: “This year, we had 620 walkers and raised £3020 for the Southend Hospital Spotlight Appeal.

“We had a group of walkers from Southend in Sight and also from HSBC.

“Pronto Training were also there to advise the community on CPR and use of defibrillators.”

A representative of Leigh Rotary also thanked all the walkers and also those who helped to make the day a success including their sponsors, with special thanks also to Southend Council for the use of the Pier.
