Leigh Pub Fight

POLICE are appealing for any witnesses or further victims to come forward after a fight outside a Leigh pub.
A police statement said: “We were called to reports of an altercation outside the Smack Inn in Leigh’s High Street at about 10.05pm on Friday 27 February.
“One woman was left with an injury to their face and was taken to hospital to paramedics.
“One man – a 19-year-old from Canvey Island – has already been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and causing actual bodily harm.
“He remains in custody while our enquiries continue.
“We’re aware a large number of people were in the area of the incident last night – we want to hear from you if you witnessed anything, and in particular if you were a victim of an assault.
