SOUTHEND Choral Society will be holding their 80th anniversary concert this April.
The choir, established in 1943, will be performing Verdi’s Requiem on Saturday April 22 at the Kings Road United Reformed Church, conducted by choir director Roger Humphries.
The choir will be joined by soloists Tara Bungard, Juliet Schiemann, Ben Thepa and David guest.
The Southend Concert Orchestra will be led by Joanne Stephens.
The concert starts at 7:30pm, and tickets are £12 adults and £2 for under 18s. These will be available on the door of the church, located at 91 Crowstone Road, SS0 8LH.
