ONE of the ‘Kings of Pop’, 10 CC’s Graham Gouldman is coming to play at Rayleigh’s Mill Arts Centre in September.

He will appear for one night only on Tuesday 30th September, where he will perform with his Heart Full of Songs band. This semi acoustic line up will play many of the hits Mr Gouldman has written for 10CC and other well known pop groups.

The star’s group 10CC shot to worldwide fame with hits like The Things We Do for Love, Dreadlock Holiday and the international smash hit ‘I’m Not in Love’. These classics hits have never been far from radio station playlists.

However, Mr Gouldman’s songwriting success extends well beyond 10cc including hits such as For Your Love and Heart Full of Soul (The Yardbirds), Bus Stop and Look Through Any Window (The Hollies), No Milk Today and Listen People (Herman’s Hermits) and Bridge To Your Heart (Wax).

Mr Gouldman is currently touring New Zealand, Australia and the USA with 10cc and whilst he performs at many big venues, he also likes to take his Heart Full of Songs band to more intimate theatres like The Mill in Rayleigh.

In June this year he received an MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours List for ‘Services to Music’.

Local promoter Mark Austin of Rayleigh Live Music Events said: “booking Graham Gouldman to play in Rayleigh is quite an achievement, someone who can sell out big venues performing in Mill Hall is a great tribute to our local music scene and the south east Essex music fans.
