A LEIGH event will be exploring the making of a classic war film this September.
In an event organised by Royal British Legion, actor Sebastian Abineri will be stepping into the spotlight at the Leigh Community Centre on 27 September, sharing an exclusive evening of behind-the-scenes tales from the making of the classic war film A Bridge Too Far.
Mr Abineri, who was cast in Sir Richard Attenborough’s famed “Private Army,” trained with real veterans to authentically portray British paratroopers at Arnhem.
On the night, he will recount what it was like to work alongside screen legends Anthony Hopkins, Michael Caine, and Sean Connery, accompanied by rare film clips and a short documentary on the film’s production.
A complimentary themed cocktail is included in the £15 ticket price, and the bar will be open for further drinks throughout the night.
The event starts at 6PM at Leigh Community Centre on 27 September.
