MP Joins “Wellbeing Day”

A SOUTH Essex MP visited a primary school in his constituency recently to participate in their end of term “Wellbeing Day.”
Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, went along to Down Hall Primary School, Rayleigh, to speak to pupils from Year 6 about his job as the local MP and his duties in the House of Commons.
Mr Francois planned his visit to coincide with the school’s “Wellbeing Day”, an end of term treat, as part of which the pupils are allowed to forgo their normal school uniform.
As part of his day, Mr Francois also met with the Headteacher, Mrs Lynsey Wood and discussed the school’s recent ‘Good’ rating by OFSTED and future plans, including the establishment of a new breakfast club, to help pupils start their day positively, with a good meal.
Speaking about his visit, Mr Francois said: “Down Hall Primary is a good school and it was a pleasure to meet with Year 6 and be put through my paces about what it means to be their local MP.
“The children were clearly enjoying the end of term spirit on “Wellbeing Day” and I wish Down Hall Primary all the best for the future.”
