Youth Project Auditions

WESTCLIFF’s Palace Theatre has announced details for its 2026 Summer Youth Project (SYP), with auditions for the young cast set to take place in April.
Following the success of this year’s production, The Wizard of Oz, preparations are already in motion for next summer’s show ‘Shrek The Musical’.
Open to performers aged 9 to 19, the popular project gives young people the chance to spend two weeks of their summer holidays working in a professional theatre environment — creating a full-scale show and performing it live on the Palace Theatre stage.
Auditions for the cast will be held on Sunday 26 April 2026. Attendance is free, but advance registration is essential.
Alongside performing roles, there will also be opportunities for young people to join the Technical Youth Team, with interviews scheduled for Thursday 9 April 2026.
The 2026 SYP will run from 26 July to 9 August, with performances of Shrek The Musical taking place from 6 to 9 August.
The 2026 project is supported by Auburn Group — the main contractor for the Cliffs Pavilion refurbishment — who have been confirmed as the Headline Sponsor.
