Over 60s Events Announced

LEIGH Town Council has announced its upcoming New Year sessions for the Over 60s Club.
The popular club runs on the first and third Wednesday of every month, from 12pm–2pm.
The sessions for January and February have now been announced, with a wide range of meals and activities on offer.
On 7 January, there will be a Catch Up & Chit Chat session, with a lunch of homemade quiche and salad.
On 21 January, the event will feature Clifftown Stories, accompanied by a lunch of sausage and mash with garden peas.
On 4 February, attendees can take part in a Winter Quiz, with spaghetti bolognese and garlic bread served for lunch.
Finally, on 18 February, the Any Good Thing Trio will be the main activity, and lunch will be macaroni cheese and broccoli bake.
A spokesperson for Leigh Town Council said: “We’ve got a fantastic year ahead with lots going on, and everyone is welcome

“Whether you’re looking to make new friends, try something new, or just enjoy a cuppa and a chat, we’d love to see you there.”
“Entry is £5 and includes lunch, activity and unlimited tea and biscuits. It is £2 entry if not having lunch.
“Please book lunch by the Monday before by calling 01702 716288 if you’d like to have lunch.
“All dietary requirements can be catered for.
“We cannot guarantee you a meal if you have not booked.”
