A LEIGH-based breast cancer charity received a visit form a special guest at their pop-up shop in February.
Star of ITV’s Loose Women and Birds of a Feather, Linda Robson visited Dressing It Up, Lady McAdden Breast Cancer Trust’s Pop Up at The Royals Shopping Centre, on Saturday February 18.
Director of Operations Liz Storey said: “We were delighted to welcome Linda to our pop-up shop on Saturday.
“She was very interested to hear about the important work we carry out in our community. She even kept a boob scarf to try and wear on Loose Women!
“The management and staff at The Royals Shopping Centre have been so helpful and welcoming, I would like to thank them and our team of fantastic volunteers, without which the pop-up shop would not have been possible’
The pop-up shop opened to a crowd on Sunday February 5 and is open for six weeks, selling wedding dresses, prom dresses and men’s suits at great prices and raising much needed funds.
Lady McAdden is the only charity in the UK to provide access to specialist breast health nurses to help people become breast aware, overcome breast pain and discuss breast health concerns.
Their nurses provide advice, education and support both face to face and remotely via video link or telephone call.
