Shop’s Flat Conversion - PLANS have been submitted to transform a closed convenience store into a flat in Westcliff.
PLANS have been submitted to transform a closed convenience store into a flat in Westcliff.
The planning application was submitted to Southend Council in relation to a property on 144 Station Road, Westcliff.
The former Roson Food and Wine shop has been empty since it closed in 2016.
Plans submitted include a request to replace the existing shop front, and replace with a front door and window as part of a conversion into a one-person single dwelling.
The former convenience store is the last remaining shop front in the parade, with a roller shutter in place.
If granted permission, the conversion would require the removal of all shop front fittings, complete clearance of all internal debris and the construction of the planned accommodation.
