A NEW Westcliff-based mobile wheelie bin cleaning company are clearing up the city with a new business idea and competition.
The family-run BIN2CLEAN is helping residents tackle the borough’s new multi-bin system whilst offering a major £3,000 giveaway.
Back in October 2025, Southend City Council officially introduced a new, multi-bin wheeled bin system, transitioning away from black bags, with a fortnightly rotation of three wheeled bins: a black-lid for general waste, pink-lid for mixed recycling, and blue-lid for paper and cardboard.
BIN2CLEAN has launched the competition alongside their new “Smart Plan”, designed specifically in response to feedback from local households who have been adjusting to this updated waste collection system.
Founder James Spokoini said: “Our bin cleaning plans have proven super popular across Southend, but the new ‘Smart Plan’ is designed to cater more precisely to the needs of busy households throughout the year whilst saving them money in the process.”
The Smart Plan features eight pink bin and four black bin cleans per year, with every clean carried out roadside and leaving bins hygienically clean, towel dried inside, with handles and other touch points clean and disinfected.
Mr Spokoini added: “It’s more of what people need and less of what they don’t and it’s the perfect time to sign up before the summer rush, to avoid disappointment, especially when you consider the extra demand our competition is bringing – customers signing up this April get 99 bonus competition entries!
“And let’s face it, nobody wants to be dealing with maggots, or attracting flies that buzz in through open windows and doors all Summer!”
Alongside a number of runner-up benefits, their free-to-enter competition, to be drawn later in April, is offering a star prize: a high-end cedar wood triple bin store worth more than £2,500 handmade by Kent-based master craftsmen Contemporary Fencing. To enter, visit: www.bin2clean.com/win
