Belfairs Dog Show

THE sun shone on Belfairs Park for the 12th running of the Belfairs Fun Dog Show!
One hundred and thirty-three dogs competed in seven classes to be crowned the Best In Show.
Visitors were able to visit a range of stalls selling fabulous doggy related goodies, as well as meeting the Southend YMCA team, The Lady MacAdam team and Tilly’s Angels, who work tirelessly to reunite lost dogs and owners!
Some dogs even had a go with Ramsden Flyball team.
Site Manager, Greg Borgartz, said: “Our Head Judge, Leigh Town Councillor Keith Evans, had a tough time choosing six rosette winners from each class.
“All sorts of dogs were competing from Greyhound to Dachshund and Cockapoo to Bulldog, each one the apple of their owners eye!
“The best in show was a stunning American Cocker Spaniel called Elsie.”
A spokesman for Essex Wildlife Trust said: “It was a really fun day with local dog owners coming together to celebrate their dogs.
“We are really grateful to all the staff and volunteers at Belfairs Woodland Centre who worked hard to put this event on, to Primary Ambulance for their wonderful First Aid cover and Utilize for their continued sponsorship the event.
“See you all again on 16th May 2027.”
