Call For Volunteers

LOCAL homelessness charity HARP is calling on members of the community to volunteer their time and help make a real difference to people experiencing homelessness.
The charity is currently seeking volunteers to support its network of charity shops in Leigh, Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff, and Southchurch, as well as volunteer drivers to assist with transporting items around the shops using the HARP van.
Anna Wallace, Head of Shops said: “Whether you enjoy meeting new people, working as part of a team, or getting out on the road, there are a variety of volunteering opportunities available to suit different interests and schedules.
“We’re a really friendly bunch at HARP so whether you can commit to regular weekly shifts or a few hours a month, we’d love to hear from you.”
A HARP statement said: “Volunteering with HARP is a rewarding way to support local people facing homelessness while gaining new skills, meeting like-minded people, and becoming part of a dedicated community making a positive impact.
