Social Care Conversation

DAVID Burton-Sampson, MP for Southend West & Leigh, is inviting people to share their views on social care and join in the Big Conversation.
The MP said: “There’s not a family in the land that does not need practical support and help with a loved one at some stage in their lives. That’s where social care comes in.
“The Big Conversation on Care will help us answer some of the most fundamental questions about who care should be for, how we support our families and, ultimately, how we pay for it.
“We need to hear from people from the start about what they want. So the Big Conversation on Care has now launched its online platform and I invite you to have your say.”
Baroness Louise Casey is chair of the Independent Commission into adult social care. The responses from the Big Conversation will feed into her reports to the Prime Minister.
David Burton-Sampson added:” The consensus is that the current system is broken and is failing too many people. Let’s finally put that right, so whether you use care services, care for someone else, work in care, or have opinions on how it should work in the future, I encourage you to get involved and help shape the future of social care.”
