HIT group the Korgis will be performing their farewell concert at the Mill Arts and Events Centre in Rayleigh on Saturday 26 September.
The group had worldwide hits with ‘Everybody’s got to learn sometime’ and other instant classics such as “If I had you”.
They have been touring and releasing albums to critical acclaim since the late 1970’s. Over the years the Korgis have worked with Peter Gabriel, Tears for Fears and Trevor Horn and their songs have been covered by Rod Stewart, Tracey Ullman, Dream Academy and Yazz among others.
The Rayleigh show will be a unique opportunity to hear music from their latest album ‘Coffee in New York’, which has only been released in USA, plus all their classic hits over the years.
Special guest for this event is the wonderfully talented Nia Nicholls who will play an opening set of her own perfectly crafted pop songs.
Mark Austin, of Rayleigh Live Music Events, said: “This is a really special event where an internationally known band chooses Rayleigh’s Mill Arts and Events Centre (Mill Hall to its friends), to perform their final gig as a five piece electric band.
“Tickets are selling like hot cakes so I recommend people snap up tickets while they can.”
Tickets are £30.50 per head available from Eventbrite website (‘The Korgis in concert’), or locally phone 07799 345795 for details.
