A LEIGH author attended a charity day to support people living with addiction.
Steven Rosen joined Marie Edmonds, founder of Aspirations program, in a free day held at Leigh Road’s Create 98, to empower individuals in their recovery journey from the harmful effects of active addiction.
Mr Rosen, a Create 98 writer, recently published Lost in the Babylon, a memoir tells a gripping story of survival and offers people hope for freedom from addiction.
He said: “With thirty-five years in recovery, my memoir Lost in the Babylon tells the fast-paced story of my life in the East End of London, from childhood emotional survival, addiction and organised crime to becoming a successful city businessman and my healing journey from trauma.”
The day saw Mr Rosen discuss his experiences with attendees of the charity’s programme, and distribute copies of his memoir.
He added: “Donating books to the Aspirations day program, mingling and discussing recovery with staff and attendees on the course was a privilege.
“Aspiration’s work transforms the lives of attendees with inspirational results.
“They are an amazing bunch of people who prove that no matter what adversity one suffers in life, there is always hope and a way out.”
