A LEIGH charity shop which raises vital funds for children, young people and adults living with incurable conditions will be holding a special Prom Dress event on Thursday April 6.
The Re:loved by Havens Hospices shop, located in Leigh Road, will be showcasing a selection of dresses and accessories, so students can come and find their perfect preloved outfit.
Joanne Polkinghorn, the Shop Manager says: “We are really excited to be holding this special event and helping people find something amazing for their special day. We have a big selection of dresses in all colours and sizes. There is something for everyone.
“We are welcoming people to the shop to find their dream dress from 12pm to 7 pm with no appointment needed. Not only will you be able to save money, but it’s shopping sustainably too and all in support of our hospice care which provides a lifeline to local families.”
The charity shop is one of 25 shops run by Essex-based charity which must raise more than £85,000 every week to be there when a family is told there is no cure for their loved one’s illness. Its hospice services help by controlling pain and medication, offering respite and supporting children, young people and adults at the end of their lives.
