COMMUNITY volunteers have been out in force cleaning up the neighbourhood.
Rochford District litter pickers were out around Cheery Orchard clearing rubbish off the paths, when they found a number of L driving learner plates.
A spokesperson said: “After finding four L Plates today on our litter pick my advice is that magnetic L Plates are a false economy. One drive and you lose them.
“We also found: Two Fastgas Nitrous Oxide Canisters, two wheel hubcaps, two road cones, a toaster, poop bags, lots of recycling containers, evidence of ‘safe sex’ in Cherry Orchard and lots of spray cans paint used by our creative and street artists who are unable to take them away when they leave.
“Many thanks to our volunteers and special thanks to KFC for making us most welcome with refreshments after our litter pick.”
