HARDENED litter pickers weren’t put off by a shower of rain in their attempts to keep Hockley free of rubbish.
Volunteers gathered and found a range of discarded items, including loose change.
A spokesperson said: “Wow what a difference a day makes! Great day for the ducks, but the rain didn’t deter us hardened litter pickers.
“We found £2 cash, which will go towards our charities, two gas bottles, two car tyres, a glass, along with lots of bottles and cans recycled in the recycling bins.
“Well done everyone.”
