THE ROCHFORD Rotary Club welcomed golfers from across the country for a fundraising day in aid of a musical charity.
The event at the Rochford Hundred Golf Club on June 16) saw £5,300 raised for The Big Sing, after a 60-prize raffle and a 10-item auction.
The Big Sing aims to provide uplifting, inspirational and motivational singing workshops to be accessible to vulnerable children and adults.
The ‘Chemical Brothers’ were the overall winners on the day, with a combined best three scores on each hole of 117 points.
In the Individual competition, Matthew Wright (Green Thumb) came 1st with 38 points followed by Paul Usher (Take Heart) and Trevor Plumb (Romford Rebels) both on 37 points.
Rochford Rotary Club President, Geoff Newman, said: “It was so pleasing to see over 70 golfers support The Big Sing charity.”
The charity thanked Rochford Hundred Golf Club for their support.
