Leigh Music Club

A NEW music night is set to begin in Leigh this August.

A live trio comprising of three experienced musicians will charm guests with a combination of everything from ballads, latin, swing and jazz, to numbers from the great American song book.

On vocals Carol Braithwaite is joined by Tim Huskisson on piano and Roger Curphey on bass, in a group that have been working together for over twenty years.

Ms Braithwaite explained the motivation behind setting up the new event: “As well as gigs in other places I like to offer a monthly jazz evening for locally and have run clubs in Westcliff, Southend, Billericay, Hadleigh for many years, so it was only fair to run a club in Leigh and was given the opportunity to do so from The Leigh Community Centre Cafe.

“We sometimes have guests, and in August we are being joined by Mike Sagrott on guitar.

“All of us have a wealth of experience within the music industry and offer a relaxed and varied selection of music.”

The first music club will take place on August 26 at Leigh Community Centre.

The gig will take place at ground level, and there is ample free parking.

Entry is £10 on the door.
