Chalkwell Lifeguard’s Awards

VOLUNTEERS from Chalkwell Lifeguards Club have been presented with water safety awards.

Following an extensive period of training, volunteers were finally presented with their Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS), National Life Saving Academy Bronze certificates at Chalkwell Lifeguards Club HQ by RLSS.

Trainers Peter Ward and Edward Hayden, this new RLSS training is designed to help improve all levels of water safety at Chalkwell all year round for local residents and visitors to our new City of Southend.

Chalkwell Lifeguards trainer Edward Hayden said: “Anyone can loose their life needlessly in water, but no one should, more water safety training added to the National school curriculum would be a wonderful step forward in the fight to save lives in all stretches of water around the country all year round.”
