A LOCAL genealogy group is holding its next meeting in October.
The South East branch of the Essex Society for Family History meets regularly in at Avenue Baptist Church Hall, Milton Road, Westcliff, offering members the chance to share historical memories and learn new skills.
Next month, the meeting will feature a talk by Simon Deacon on ‘Chalkwell Hall and its environs.’
This will take place on Saturday October 7.
The hall opens at 1.30pm for research and friendship, with the talk commencing at 2.30pm.
Visitors are welcome, at a cost of a £3 donation.
