THE MP for Southend West took work experience students to Chalkwell Beach as part of British Beach Clean Week.
Local youngsters enjoyed the day out, whilst making an important contribution to the beach environment’s upkeep.
Anna Firth commented: “I took my work experience team to the beach for a clean-up, and we had a fantastic time.”
Ms. Firth emphasised the significance of these litter pick sessions, stating: “Every year, a staggering 8 million tons of plastic finds its way into our oceans.
“Preserving the safety of our beaches is of paramount importance, and I am eagerly anticipating my Water Summit later this month.”
