Resumption Of Flights

THOUSANDS of people tuned in online to watch the return of flights to two popular holiday destinations from Southend Airport.

On Sunday, October 29, an exclusive livestream captivated over 8,000 viewers, marking the eagerly anticipated resumption of flights to Alicante from Southend airport, alongside the debut of the new Paris route.

The Paris service is set to operate up to four times a week, with flights departing on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays throughout the entire year.

When this route was initially unveiled in May, it became the fifth addition to Southend Airport’s easyJet destinations.

The Alicante route, in particular, is currently in operation twice a week from Southend, offering departures on Thursdays and Sundays.

Speaking on the day of the livestream, a spokesperson for London Southend Airport said: “The moment has finally arrived. easyJet flights to Paris and Alicante take off today.

“Thank you to everyone in the airport team for making the inaugural celebrations a flying success, come rain or shine, and thank you to everyone for choosing to fly London Southend.”
