SOUTHEND Community Policing Team officers were seen sweeping through Chalkwell Park and Leigh Gardens for signs of criminal behaviour.
The officers were looking through areas in an effort to retrieve and remove any weapons and knives that can sometimes be found, whether stashed or discarded by suspects.
The actions are part of Operation Spectre, which aims to crack down on knife crime.
The officers confirmed that no weapons were found as part of the routine search.
A spokesperson from Essex Police added: “If you have any information that may relate to knife crime and violence, please report it telephoning 101 or going online at: esxpol.uk/C2hlO.”
