A MONTHLY creative market is thriving in Victoria Shopping Centre.

‘Big Up Southend’, the monthly creative market that has become a staple in the local community, returned on Saturday, February 24, marking its first event of the year.

Held on the first floor of the Centre, the market promises an exciting array of artisanal goods, handmade crafts, and unique experiences for attendees.

Since its inception in April 2023, Big Up Southend has captivated locals and visitors alike with

its vibrant atmosphere and diverse offerings.

Founded by Leigh-based company Indirock, Show Up Southend, and The Design Cabin Community C.I.C., the market has been what organisers describe as “A testament to the collaborative spirit and entrepreneurial energy of Southend.”

This year, Big Up Southend undergoes a transition as The Design Cabin Community C.I.C.

“We’re thrilled to be at the helm of Big Up Southend this year,” said James Edmunds, Executive

Director at The Design Cabin Community C.I.C.

“Our team is committed to building upon the success of past events and ensuring that each month brings fresh experiences and opportunities for both traders and attendees.”

The market is scheduled to take place on the last Saturday of every month, until the end of the year.
