Leigh On Sea News: Children’s Charity Donation – THE Leigh branch of the Rotary club donated £1,000 to a Leigh-based charity supporting children and young people fighting cancer in Southend and Basildon.
Leigh Rotary invited Katie Southgate, the CEO of Gold Geese, to speak at their recent club meeting.
After the meeting, the club president Janice Price presented Ms Southgate with a cheque for £1,000 to put towards the charity’s work.
A spokesperson from Leigh Rotary said: “We had a truly inspiring speaker at our meeting.
“Katie Southgate, pictured here with our President Janice, is CEO of Gold Geese a local charity that helps children with cancer and their families survive their ordeal.
“We were delighted to be able to make a donation of £1000 towards this wonderful charity.”
