ENTHUSIASTIC volunteers cleared over ten bags of rubbish on a recent litter pick up.
The Rochford District Litter Pickers covered Ashingdon memorial hall open space, Ashingdon Road and around Hockley station area, Spa Road, Hawkwell Road, White Hart Lane, Southend Road, Main Road, Hawkwell.
Unusual finds included a Basketball, glove, pants, vehicle mirror case, posters, reflector, golf balls, Fuse box, four Nitrous Oxide canisters, Vapes., glass bottles, cans and vapes were recycled.
Ten bags of non-recycling and two sacks of recycling.
A spokesperson added: “Who thinks we need to call for takeaway packages to have their vehicle registration stamped- so that people take ownership for their litter- or face the consequences?
“Recycling bins at the library are overflowing, these have been reported.
“Thank you everyone who has helped our community, well done.”
