New HARP Shop

LEIGH residents enjoyed the launch of a newly-refurbished charity shop in Leigh.

Located at 3 Broadway West, the shop is operated by HARP, an organisation dedicated to supporting the local homeless community.

This opening follows the recent launch of the HARP Media Store at the site of their previous Leigh Broadway site.

The grand opening, held on Saturday, April 27, saw an impressive turnout of supporters.

Anna Wallace, Head of Charity Shops at HARP, expressed gratitude to Leigh residents for their support throughout the transition: “We’d like to thank the Leigh community for their support while we’ve been reworking our shops in the Leigh area.

“We’ve worked hard on revamping the shops so that they look inviting and are in keeping with the independent feel of the Broadway.”

All money raised by HARP shops is invested in providing support, advice and help to nearly 1000 people each year who are experiencing homeless or at risk of losing their home.

The HARP Media Store is currently appealing for volunteers and donations for their three shops in the area.
