AN APPLICATION for a licence to sell alcohol and play music has been filed for a business on a Leigh Road.
Leigh Grill and Cafe, at 1163 London Road, has submitted a proposal to Southend Council, requesting permission to sell alcohol throughout the week as well as play live and recorded music until 11pm daily.
The business shares a building with Leigh Car Wash, nearby to both the Oakleigh bar and the Elms Wetherspoon pub.
The grill markets itself as a “small family run kitchen” serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner.
The application requests a licence for the sale of alcohol for consumption on the premises between 8am and 11pm, as well as for playing live and recorded music daily between 8am and 11 pm.
The licensing authority has to receive representation in relation to the application by the deadline of July 17, 2024.
