Leigh business expo

AN event to help young entrepreneurs in Leigh is set to be held this October.

The Leigh Business Expo will be held at Saint Margaret’s Church, Wednesday 23 October between 8am and 12pm, and looks to create a business support marketplace, offering guidance to both new and established businesses.

Young entrepreneurs and potential traders can receive advice on setting up their own ventures, while showcasing businesses will have the chance to promote job opportunities within their organisations.

Additionally, the events will spotlight the wide range of services and products available across the city.

The Leigh Expo is partnered with Leigh-on-Sea.com.

Another expo, in Southend, will take place on Thursday 5 September at Southend Christian Fellowship.

Councillor Matt Dent, cabinet member for culture, tourism, and business, said: “I’m thrilled to see Southchurch Business Expo return, and its expansion into Leigh. These events provide an excellent opportunity for local businesses, professionals and residents to come together, showcasing Southchurch and Leigh-on-Sea as vibrant places to work and live.

“I would like to thank the economic development team for organising and supporting the projects, which received extremely positive feedback from previous events. I would also like to thank Project Southchurch for all their work making last year’s expo such a success, laying the groundwork for a bigger, better 2024. It is particularly encouraging as it shows the continued growth and success of our local enterprises here in our City.”

The event is free.
