Rayleigh Assault Arrests

TWO men were arrested following an assault on Rayleigh High Road.

 Police were called to reports of a man in his 20s had been attacked with a glass and then punched and kicked near to Paul Pry pub at around 11pm on Friday, 30 August.

 The victim sustained a fractured eye socked and was taken to hospital for treatment.

 An 18-year-old man from Dagenham and a 22-year-old man from Wickford have been arrested on suspicion of GBH without intent and are both were taken into custody.

 Police are now asking witnesses to come forward with information relating to the incident
