Music In Milan

THE Music Man Project continued its ambitious work with a magical concert in Italy.

 The award-winning project, which makes music education accessible for people with disabilities, is an award winning and record-breaking charity that has performed in venues across the country and internationally.

 Dozens of its members went with Leigh-based founder Sir David Stanley BEM to Milan to perform a live show with new collaborators Allegro Moderato.

 Mr Stanley said: “What a magical night in Milan!

 “Our global ambassadors sang, played and danced their hearts out with our wonderful new friends, Music is Magic in Milan had everything – a judge from Italy’s Got Talent and X Factor introduced the show, two comedians as hosts, a stage band, youth band, Allegro Moderato and The Music Man Project who performed separately and, most gloriously, together.”

 Global ambassadorship for musical education is a key aim of Mr Stanley’s work.

 He continued: “This concert was the beginning of an international partnership, which will lead the world in global accessible arts and culture.

 “Thank you to everyone in Milan for making us feel so welcome. We will be back and we can’t wait to welcome you to the UK!”

 He added: “Thank you to our patron Anna Firth, our trustee Julie and long-term supporter Gill for coming to Milan to support us.

 “And finally, congratulations to our inspirational, hardworking and resilient ambassadors who achieved all this in three days, and their families of course!!”
