THE owner of a Hockley floristry has been recognised in a national award.

Charmaine Taylor of C. Taylor’s Floristry won Wedding and Event Florist of the Year at the British Florist Association Awards gala.

Taylor’s specialised in floral arrangements for weddings and special occasions.

Charmaine said: “To say I am completely shocked, overwhelmed and slightly emotional is an understatement!

“To win such an incredible, national award is absolutely mind-blowing, and I am so, so grateful “Thank you so much British Florist Association for a wonderful evening.”

Charmaine went to the ceremony, held at the East Midlands Conference Centre.

She continued: “This absolutely wouldn’t have been possible without the support from my incredible team and husband, family, friends, industry colleagues, and of course not forgetting our amazing couples and clients who trust us in bringing their floral dreams to life

“And huge thank you to everyone who voted for us!”
